Carrick on Shannon, a lively town with a population of around 2,500. It is the largest cruising centre in Ireland. Historically, it has been one of the main crossing points on the beautiful Shannon River.

Transfers and Groceries
The base can arrange transfers from your arrival point to the base and can also do your food and drink shopping to stock up your boat before you arrive. A link to the order forms will be sent following your final payment for the boating holiday.
Base Opening Hours
Monday to Thursday: 09:00 to 18:00
Friday to Saturday: 09:00 to 20:00
Sunday: 10:00 to 13:00
Late Arrivals
If you are going to be arriving at the base late, you will need to inform the base directly or the general sales office where you booked. When you arrive at the base there will be a note on the reception door informing you where your boat is. The boat will be left open with the lights on for you to stay on board that night. The base staff will do the full briefing the following morning.

Parking is available at the base free of charge.
Fishing
A fishing licence is not required in Carrick. We suggest that you bring your own fishing equipment as it is not possible to hire from the base. However, you can buy equipment from the following shops:
