Ireland boating holidays with a difference
Welcome to Ireland's unique cruising experience, with lush green countryside, majestic rivers, tranquil canals, a rich heritage and a warm welcome.
We offer holidays afloat on all sections of the Irish waterways, by canal boat or river cruiser. From Belleek at the northern tip of Lough Erne to Killaloe at the southern end of the River Shannon, there are 300 miles of inter-connecting rivers and lakes forming the Shannon and Erne Waterways.
When built over 200 years ago, the Royal Canal and Grand Canal connected the River Shannon to Ireland capital Dublin on routes through central Ireland. Sections of these canals have been rebuilt and reopened, and are accessible to suitable boats.
On a boating holiday you have the freedom to moor wherever you want, to walk, climb hills, sightsee, listen to local music, go for a bicycle ride, play golf, go fishing.
You will experience the legendary Irish hospitality, and there is no difficulty in finding places to buy basic grocery necessities or have a friendly chat and a jar with the locals. Often music from the fiddle will accompany folksongs in the hostelries.
In Ireland, you may not need a licence to do a spot of peaceful fishing. Upper and Lower Lough Erne are waters particularly prized by fishermen, as is the River Barrow. Dinghies can be supplied with most boats and even fishing equipment and bait.
Ireland also boasts around 300 of the world's finest golf courses often set in magnificent scenery. We may not be able to guarantee perfect weather, but we can offer you a friendly welcome at all times when you visit our peaceful Irish waterways.
